About The Layout
This layout features Chii from the anime/manga - Chobits, copyrighted to CLAMP. It was edited and sliced with Adobe Photoshop CS2. The image has an unknown origin, being in my computer for ages, collecting dust, unused..
The name Solitude - Quiet Night came from my feeling of being alone at the moment. I haven't been with my friends for almost two weeks now, due to the school holidays now, and I started making it at night, with peace and quiet. Simple. =)
The fonts used are Georgia, Scriptina, Beautiful ES and Verdana. The brushes are from various resource sites: Aethereality, CelestialStar, DivineArt and Inobscuro. This layout will look good with any resolution above 800x600 pixels, and it's been tested in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The following are the contents in the ZIP file:
- index.html - the index page
- style.css - the CSS stylesheet
- image/h1.gif , image/h2.gif - the headers
- image/icon.ico - the icon
- image/solitude_01.gif - image/solitude_14.gif - layout
Here's how the style looks like:
- Bold
- Italic
- Underline
- Link
You may change these variable in style.css if you want, and if you can, and if you know how to only. Or it'll end up looking like .. bleh.. Forget about changing it.. I think it looks OK the way it is now?? =D
The HTML and CSS were coded with Notepad and Microsoft FrontPage, by me. That means the source code is fully copyrighted to me. Please do not steal it away to make your own layout!
To Use The Layout
It is quite simple to customize this layout, just a bit confusing as it has a lot of tables. For configuration, I allow bits of it (as long as you don't remove the credit to C-S.NET), but I suggest you to have some HTML experience if you want to do so. To know more, you can refer to the tutorials in Celestial-Star. Very useful *wink*
First download the layout, and extract everything from the ZIP file. Open index.html and edit with Notepad, Misc FrontPage or a WYSIWYG editor. To duplicate the page, copy index.html and paste as many as you want, then rename them to what you need. Don't forget to edit them, then upload to your server with the images in the image folder (keep the paths or they won't work properly).
To type a paragraph with indent, type <p class="div">text here</p> If none, just use without the class="div" If you have any problem on the usage of this layout, ask in the forum at Celestial Star, please do not e-mail me about it. Also, feel free to drop a comment at CS. Thank you! =3
