Make a new image and set the foreground color
black and background color white. Go to Filter> Render > Clouds. Now apply a mosaic: Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic and set the Cell Size to 20. We'll fade it: go to Edit > Fade
mosaic and set the opacity at 50%
What you have to do now is go to Filter > Brush
strokes > Accented edges and use this settings:
Edge width: 5
Edge brightness: 45
Smoothness: 5
The lines look solid now, but we want them to be pipes, not solid lines. Go to
Filter > Stylize > Glowing edges, put this settings:
Edge width: 3
Edge brightness: 6
Smoothness: 5
Time to put some color there. To do so, go to Image > Adjust > Hue/Saturation. You can choose the color you want, for example, I used this one:
Hue: 297
Saturation: 35
Lightness: 15
Duplicate the layer and apply a Sumi-e filter (Filter > Brush strokes > Sumi-e) on the top layer. Leave the default settings:
Stroke width: 10
Stroke pressure: 2
Contrast: 16
Change the layer's blending mode to Overlay and the opacity to 50%. It's finished!
