New membership system
Melfina, 2007-05-29 00:00:00The site's membership system has been merged with the forum and all accounts are being transferred with a cron running every hour, so you may not be able to log in at the moment. If the script runs correctly, you'll get an e-mail if anything on your account was changed. Please, if you have any problem with your account, contact me about it so that I can solve it for you. If you can't remember your password, use the reset password option at the forum. This will make the site more interactive and secure for sure. You may have already noticed a new feature when you log in to your user control panel here at the site: whenever you submit avatars, you will see their status there. If your pending avatars disappear from your user control panel, it's either because they were rejected, or already added. I'll be adding the same feature for layouts and renders soon. Edit: I had an error at the script and it showed something like "your username was: username" and a wrong username. Just ignore that, your username is the one you've always used, the one that was used at "Hi username,". Usernames used at e-mails for modified usernames were right though.
Cosplay and Anime costumes
Melfina, 2007-05-17 07:46:48Shocked when I saw my first ReviewMe review request, I loved that it was such theme as cosplay and I hope I do a good job. The following is a sponsored post: Moon Costumes' Cosplay & Anime costumes contains a very nice range of costumes sorted by series: from the most classic ones as Rurouni Kenshin or Sailor Moon to the newest and popular ones as Naruto Shipuuden. I do miss costumes for other series as Utena, Nana or Death Note, but I'm pretty sure their catalogue will be expanded, and you can always request a custom costume! All what is offered at Moon Costumes seems to be very detailed and most of them, if not all, include accesories. My personal favourite are the Advent Children's Cloud Strife and Yuuko Ichihara costumes, which reproduce the characters perfectly. Yuuko's even uses the same pattern for the long kimono than the real one, which isn't easy to find and Cloud's is simply perfect. On the other hand, I'm not very fond of the Final Fantasy X Yuna costume, it may be only the photo, but the colors are a bit off in my opinion and it lacks something: As it can be seen on the image, the part I marked is not exactly the same, and the sleeves are not white faded to pink, but only white instead. I just saw a mistake while browsing the costumes: there's a Full Metal Alchemist section, but still the Edward Elric costume is not on that section, but under Movie & Games, which doesn't make sense. Looking for a cosplay on your favourite series for the next convention? look no further, you'll find it here or you can get it made, it's excellent if you don't have the time or skills to do it yourself and have some spare money you can spend on it. High quality is paid for sure, but at Moon Costumes you'll find the best balance between price and quality.
Many site fixes
Melfina, 2007-05-03 13:48:33Though you may not notice, I've been working on the site these two days endlessly mainly fixing broken avatars and layouts, re-coding some parts of the site and doing very miscellaneous stuff. There are still many broken avatars and layouts, but I've already fixed most of them. The main change for you, is a new avatar series list instead of the dropdown. Our blog has been updated twice already, do drop by or subscribe to our RSS Feeds, they may help a lot. As regular updates, 8 layouts and 13 avatars have been approved, now I'm close to being up to date, but there are still old submissions on my inbox for layouts and renders. Two small Ugetsu Hakua artbooks have been added to the gallery:
